LCK holds Community Information Meetings tour

Leigh Creek Energy (LCK) conducted the periodic sweeping information tour of the far north Flinders region recently to update residents on its Leigh Creek Energy project.

Meetings at Copley, Leigh Creek and Nepabunna were well attended by local community members, with LCK representatives also attending community Christmas events.

The company’s General Manager Operations Manager Cristian Bolda, Principal Geologist John Centofanti, Senior Environmental Advisor Alex Mutiso and LCK’s Site Manager Peter Case led the sessions informing attendees on the company’s latest updates.

Mr Bolda said attendees were appreciative of the ongoing information sessions.

“We had one of our largest crowds we’ve ever had during this most recent trip compared to any of the community information meetings we’ve held over several years now,” Mr Bolda said.

“It’s pleasing to see the local community is interested in what we’re trying to achieve up here and were again encouraged to know the company plans to continue the periodic information sessions for local stakeholders going forward.

“During the sessions, LCK informed on current activities, as well as short-term and long-term plans for local operations and answer the questions from the attendees during the Q&A.”

LCK policy is to keep informing communities at Leigh Creek, Copley and the surrounding region regularly of its current activities and plans for the future.

The company also uses the opportunity to talk with local leaders and discuss ongoing opportunities to support community groups and events.
