LCK opens community shopfront at Leigh Creek

Leigh Creek Energy (LCK) has opened a new shop front at Leigh Creek to offer the local community greater transparency and access to the company.

The company says it plans on the initiative further growing LCK's relationship with the people of the Leigh Creek, Copley and surrounding communities offering a one-stop shop for inquiries.

The shopfront offers fact sheets and insights into LCK's local activities, as well as company representatives to take questions.

LCK General Manager Operations Cristian Bolda said the company believes community engagement is one of the most important elements to running successful operations, such as the Leigh Creek Energy Project.

"LCK need to have a good relationship with the local communities here at Leigh Creek, Copley and the surrounding region,"

"While LCK's Pre-Commercial Operations have been completed, we want to still maintain our presence on the lead up to commercial operations in the future.

"We believe this shopfront will be a positive way to enable locals to continue to have access to LCK and for the company to maintain a local presence in Leigh Creek and Copley which has lasted several years now.

The local office is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from midday until 5pm.
